Arkansas Voters to ObamaCare: Drop Dead
(Washington, DC) – Responding to Tom Cotton’s victory in the race for the Senate in Arkansas, Independent Women’s Voice CEO Heather Higgins tonight issued the following statement:
“Obviously, this election was very much about ObamaCare, and the obstructionism of Senate Democrats to real reform. The message of this election? Keep your doctor, fire Harry Reid.
“We’re pleased that Rep. Tom Cotton signed IWV’s ObamaCare Repeal Pledge to show his commitment to overturning this monstrosity, and we are pleased to congratulate him on his victory,
“Those who said ObamaCare no longer matters are self-deluded. The more people experience it, the more they hate it, and rightly so. Imagine what’s going to happen when ALL the mandates kick in.
“The American people are tired of candidates who say one thing on the stump, then do something else when they get to DC. That’s why the Repeal Pledge matters to voters, and why smart candidates who are serious about real reform, like Tom Cotton, sign the Repeal Pledge.”
IWV advocates not just repeal, but defunding, deauthorizing, and dismantling the misleadingly-titled Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act, enacted in early 2010. This victory this evening moves us one step closer to better health care in this country.
